What is a Category on IBNESTO?
A Category on IBNESTO defines what an organization does. In other words, it answers the question: what does the organization do?
Consider the example of Caweem, which provides marketing services to Engineering and Technology companies.
Since Caweem provides Marketing services to other companies, it can list itself in the “Marketing Services” Category.
However, as a marketing company, Caweem serves businesses in other industries including Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and so on.
Should Caweem also list itself in the “Mechanical Engineering”, “Biomedical Engineering”, “Electrical Engineering” and in other Categories?
No, Caweem should only list itself in Categories that define its own business activities. Since Caweem by itself does not provide Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering services, it should not list itself in these categories.
Nevertheless, if Caweem wants to highlight the industries that it serves, it may do so by adding appropiate Industry Tags to its listing. In this case, for example, it would have to add these tags to its listing: “Mechanical Engineering Industry”, “Biomedical Engineering Industry”, “Electrical Engineering Industry” and all other Industries it serves.
