About Us

Alabama Heat Exchangers, Inc. is an Engineered‐to‐Order fabrication and repair work company which fulfills the highly specialized process equipment requirements of our customers. We’ve been serving numerous markets as a small business with a steadfast enthusiasm for quality and quality given that 1986. We’ve made a reputation from our customers as a “go‐to” source for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, specialized machining, market, and welding understanding. Our priority is to utilize our knowledge and highly experienced labor force to help you keep your operations up and running.

Since 1986, Alabama Heat Exchangers has served the energy, petroleum and chemical industries with pressure vessel and heat exchanger production and repair work.

Since we are located just yards from Interstate 10 outside Mobile, Alabama (second largest port city on the US Gulf Coast and a significant rail center) allows us to serve local, worldwide and regional clients with numerous inexpensive transport alternatives.

We’ve succeeded all these years since there are 3 things we never alter: The high level of accumulated ability of our staff members, our own high standards of design and workmanship, and our incredibly competitive prices.

All of our welders are qualified to weld most products under ASME Sec. IX.

Ninety-nine percent of our work is constructed to ASME Section VIII, Division 1, with the remainder made to American Petroleum Institute requirements or distinct client specifications. Our repair is performed to the standards of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, ASME, API, and numerous other market standards required by our customers.

Alabama Heat Exchangers routinely produces heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other procedure equipment in accordance with the latest requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (the ASME “U stamp). We also follow the American Petroleum Institute code and other relevant market requirements special customer specs when requested.

Our repair work meets the requirements of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and is marked with the NBIC “R” stamp.

Engineering/ Drafting
Alabama Heat Exchangers deals with its customers carefully to produce fast and precise styles that meet all of the appropriate standards and consumer specifications, whether it’s ASME, API, ABS, or something client specific.

With our in-house machining abilities including CNC milling and drilling, traditional and turret lathes, horizontal boring mills, and standard drill presses, AHE can produce tubesheets, baffles, flanges, headers, and other miscellaneous machined parts as required. We can likewise repair/restore squandered or damaged sealing surface areas on existing devices.

Our welding services cover a wide range of applications from new fabrication to complex repair work. AHE is well versed in GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SAW and is certified to weld numerous alloys ranging from carbon steel and stainless to high-nickel alloys, titanium and other exotic products. All welders and procedures are certified to ASME Sec. IX requirements.

Our extremely talented fitters spare no attention to information, and this allows us to produce the great quality welds that our end users discover in their devices once fabrication or repair is complete. They’ve made us a credibility for fabricating replacement equipment that drops right in place as it should.

Service & Repair
Whether our consumers simply need regular pressure testing and inspection or a complete re-build of their devices, our service and repair work department is there to make it occur quickly and accurately. The depth of experience of this team makes it possible to repair with our customers and provide the best possible service to help keep downtime to a minimum.

Quality Control
Our QC department works carefully with all components of the procedure, from end user to shop floor and Authorized Inspectors, to help us guarantee we continue to keep only the highest quality fabrication and repair work as we’ve offered since 1986. Very close attention to detail and depth of knowledge and experience with codes and standards are what make this possible.
